HIKARI /FIT/ Anonymous 04/21/2025 (Mon) 13:23:36 No. 8397
In this thread we will talk about fitness: running, lifting, dieting, etc. Feel free to share tips, resources, and motivation to get out there and improve your health- both in body and in mind. Starting is easier than you'd think, and has almost countless benefits from sleep quality, longevity, attractiveness, hormone balance, strength, bone density, brain health, mental health, and more. Even just a daily walk outside can go a long way. Resources https://web.archive.org/web/20190122234620/http%3A%2F%2F4chanfit.wikia.com/wiki/Harsh's_Worksheet_(WIP) This is a pretty comprehensive guide featured on 4/fit/ that covers lifting, cardio, and dieting. Gives guidelines on general health, dietary macros, and good exercise habits/routines. I highly recommend reading all of this, you won't need much else. https://tdeecalculator.net/ Website to calculate approximately how many calories you burn per day to base your diet on. Use the sedentary option and adjust from there, even if you aren't sedentary. Other options are more inaccurate. https://www.omnicalculator.com/sports/steps-to-calories Steps to calorie calculator. https://github.com/davidhealey/waistline FOSS macro/calorie counting app that works on a database system. I personally use this. Can even track vitamins and nutrients if you want to be autistic. https://codeberg.org/noahjutz/GymRoutines FOSS app to create/track workout routines. I personally use this as well. It's a bit barebones but it does the job. You don't need to be a musclehead who only eats chicken and rice to become /fit/. If you have any questions, PLEASE ask below! I (and perhaps other hikarins) will do my best to answer to the best of my knowledge.
>>
today is chest and triceps day which is my favorite. i have about two weeks of bulking left so i'm gonna give it my all. eating a banana for breakfast, 3 bratwursts for lunch, and i'm probably gonna make shrimp quesadillas for dinner. washed down with a protein shake.
>>
I can't believe you made a gymthread. Now every hikarin (except me, of course, since I am the wisest) will man up and this site die, because posters instead of being peaceful internet active NEETs will be attending the gym and do weird man stuff to each other like groping each other's muscles
>>
>>8407 why not have a site of buff hikarins groping each other's muscles? i'm buff and i'm still here
>>
>>8417 you think imageboards are social media, but they're in truth a lifestyle, gym is for čads, imageboards are for superhumans!
>>
>>8446 imageboards are by definition social media, sorry to say. how do you expect to be a superhuman if you're weak?
>>
i'm not a fan of exercise, can someone suggest some easy no equipment exercises to burn my inner thigh and stomach fat that i can do at home?
>>
>>8451 mutual fondling
>>
>>8451 >burn my inner thigh and stomach fat You can't burn specific fat areas it just comes naturally with consistent weight loss. >easy no equipment exercises Push ups, Squats, Lunges, picking up something in your house you find somewhat heavy, playing Miku fitness boxing there's tons more that I can't think of at the moment.
>>
>>8454 haha i've thought of getting miku boxing but i only have a switch lite
>>
>>8451 as the hikarin above said you can't spot-reduce fat like you can with building muscle. unfortunately fat loss is genetic, with a tendency to start in your face/extremities working inwards. if all you're worried about is weight loss, basically anything will do. pushups, bodyweight squats, lunges, crunches, burpees, even something like jumping jacks. the type of exercise you're looking for is "calisthenics", which just uses your bodyweight and basically no equipment. you can look up calisthenic exercises and pick ones that you like. do your best hikarin
>>
>>8457 in addition, i should note that your diet will play a large part in fat loss too. you likely won't lose much weight if you still eat a high volume of garbage, unless maybe you're entirely sedentary and already quite large.
>>
At the end of day 1 of a 3 day fast, I'm hungry as fuark hikarins...
>>
>>8498 what are you fasting for? weight loss? body cleansing?
>>
>>8499 both, i've been eating like ass lately
>>
today instead of lifting i will go for a run after work. it's supposed to be a nice day out and i don't get enough sunlight. i do not like running but doing it outside makes it more bearable than doing it on a treadmill or something. cardio is important! >>8501 i see. well best of luck.
>>
>>8501 Have you been eating ass tho?
>>
>>8505 no because you don't wash it
