>idealizing violence and child abuse
I'm struggling not to be rude but the internet has rotten your brain. There is no such thing as pedagogical violence, there is only shitty parents that can't control themselves. I don't know how old you are, but you are probably older than most first-time parents used to be
back in the day and you probably have more self-control than any previous generation.
I don't think you understand how pathetic and vulgar actual parental violence looks like. Modern people practice extreme self-discipline just to survive, from the strictness of modern work to the sea of advertisement and addictive products they have to resist. You probably read or see extremely irritating things on the internet every day, and you have learned to control yourself (if only because there is nothing else one can do).
I do think you don't have the impulse to hit someone just because they can't defend themselves, so maybe you are trying to rationalize abuse, if you have experienced it and this isn't just something you picked up from the internet. But in your innocence you don't understand there is no deeper meaning and it was just parents themselves being childish.
Actually there is a pedagogical violence, sometimes people are paralyzed by violence because they have never experienced it and it shocks them. You can learn and get used to it, but I'm sure it something only adults can do and it doesn't necessarily require physical violence.
