Whats the hardest game you've completed? Did you enjoy it? I completed Dark Souls, although I did use summons sometimes, didn't for bloodborne, although that was easier. Dark Souls was great. My favourite part of it was just exploring the different areas and their enviroments, it has some of the best map/level designs I've ever seen. People talk about the bosses a lot, and I enjoyed most of them, but they're sooo stressful.

>>285 Recently I've 100% Elden Ring I'd say it was the hardest Souls game I've played so far (and I've finished all the Dark Souls), mainly due to its different approach and mechanics, which I was not used to, but the easiest to get all the achievements in Now I'm playing Tears of the Kingdom in my Steam Deck

>>

>>623 Agreed. I'm playing it for the first time with a friend and we're slowly going through 100% completion. Even some of the missions are a headache to get through, not considering the tedium of 100%.

One's have had to retry bosses the most are ds3 and the trails of cold steel series. Trails could be hard but always had room to try different strategies, was very satisfying to figure one out that finally worked. DS3 when you lost it would happen quickly but in a jrpg where boss battles can go 30 minutes - an hour losing towards the end hurts much more, esp when you realize you were just stupid/confident.

It was probably soloing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate's G-Rank. There were certain fights that were dogshit but the game was mostly fun and felt rewarding when beating tough quests. That was until G3, where everything was just artificially difficult (the only exception being Chameleos). Everything would just 1 tap you and Gog was just a giant damage sponge that was obviously not intended to be soloed.

I enjoy rhythm games but I am not good at them by any means. laugh I mostly play Project Diva but sometimes Osu as well. I swear Osu players must be adderall addicts to have such fast and consistent reaction time!

>>1812 Adderall made me better at Osu, have you tried ADHD-maxxing, Anon?

Post your favorite DOOM wads No myhouse.wad or it's copies becuz that's boring and none of Eric Harris' mods for obvious reasons

>>

>>398 But playing those with keyboard only is kinda clunky In doom you can play it with keyboard almost as well as you do with mouse

>>

>>400 True, although aiming becomes the REAL Hell lolz (also sorry for the late response I completely forgot about this thread )

>>

Not too long ago I played through Overboard, a short map pack from the guy who made Going Down. Short and sweet maps with some awesome level design, and a NG+ mode with harder enemy placements after you beat it for the first time. Link to the Doomworld page: https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Overboard

>>

Hideous Destructor and Doom the Way ID Did are always a kino combo~ Been playing a lot of Ashes 2063 lately, and it's pretty comfy: lots of doom cute and sick weapons. Anyone been getting into wadding themselves? Been meaning to get my hands wet one of these days

I remember an AVGN episode where he covers a DOOM mod made by a food company or something? I recall you played as an alien who was fighting other aliens to rescue your family or people or whatever. It had really goofy names and weapons but actually wasn't too bad all things considered. Surely I am not hallucinating.

What's your favorite games locked behind an old console? Mine would have to be the original persona games (specifically on the PSP)happy

Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam for the ps2

>>
lotr_third_age.jpg - 1153.21 KB (3199x2155)

Lord of the Ring: The Third Age on ps2, gc, og xbox and gba was turn based rpg were you follow behind film trilogy crew with your own team with og characters that you level up as well as sometimes intertwining with straight-up movie scenes and fighting alongside film characters. Most interesting factoid about this game is that plot ends up being junky and awkward with it's b-side following of main story and that is due to the developers really wanting to make their game be based on books, but they ended up stuck with films license. It makes this game have wasted potential that I think could really shine based on the love for source material spilling out of the screen with for example item descriptions (really dark-soulsesque) tackling grander book lore and references. Case of this game makes me sad as we never got actual book based game that could cover events omitted in the movies. Oh what we could have... downcry

LittleBigPlanet 2. One of my favorite games of all time, with no PC port or anything. In fact the servers have been shut down for some time now so you couldn't even play online if you wanted to... cry cry cry

Way cooler rival compared to byakuya the concept of having a moraly questionable version of makoto and his ideology after the previous game made hope and despair seem pretty black and white is cool (yes i acidentally posted in /jp/ instead)

Update, I got to the top 10 on the arena. I had to change the location to the caves where there's no room to fly, but other AC units were also ridiculously easy afterwards. As of now I am carrying two back weapons that allow extra ammo + the small shotgun. Also I equipped some legs that give you more speed than the rest while sacrificing defense, but since the units at this point just annihilate 3k AP with one single hit, the extra movement speed is critical to survive. A wide FC also has been crucial for times where I need to have the enemy on the corner of my peripheral vision, while also able to hit them. This game has a lot of things to like, but I will not lie, some segments are real hairsplitters.

been getting drunk alone at night and playing Slay the Spire. it is a good game and a fun time waster. basically all of the character addons on the Steam workshop are anime characters. snicker

1000010008.png - 2258.96 KB (1734x1046)

Well, I made it, I cleared the arena on Project Phantasma. It may feel a bit like cheesing, but the absolute movement these units were pulling lead me to using an AC unit that would allow me to circlestrafe around these enemies. I think the main issue the game has as a flaw, is that it's not easy to identify which builds are actually good, and which are non-viable. This one was really fun, but it wasn't that fun figuring out what was going to be useful, and what wasn't. Overall, the last fights really boosted the game a few points up. Really really liked it.

>>

Oh and I just figured out there is actually an "easy mode" you can unlock if you fail enough times in the game. Gives you a much more lenient boost, a ranged melee attack, improved radar, ability to use heavy weapons without being stationary... Why would that be unlockable after being a shit player!? Wouldn't it be better to unlock that by actually playing properly? Either way, seems like I've beaten both games on a secret "hard mode", so I guess that speaks more of my skill level, haha. But it'd have been neat to have a much bigger arsenal in a regular playthrough.

>>1661 I'd like to clarify that I have ended up not buying this game as it is genuine trash that not only looks worse than the original but rewrites everything to revive dead characters to use them later for some dumb reason.

Due to a resurgence in popularity the largest two servers Asura and Bahamut are closed to new characters. I'm on Bahamut. Which server is hikarin playing on? My sub has lapsed but I'm thinking of coming back to finish CoP.

>>
image.png - 1384.16 KB (850x1656)

doesn't seem like there is much of an interest this month. before i try to organize the event, i should probably ask how many are interested in joining? if the interest isn't there then that's fine, i just would like to know so i don't plan for it and nobody show up.

interested in game night?
