I only watched 5 animes in 2025, I'll put them in order of how much I liked them: 1. Azumanga Daioh. 2. Watamote! 3. Yumeiro Patissiere. 4. Kill Me Baby. 5. Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon (2nd Season).

1. a kite 2. ghost in the shell (rewatched three times somehow? so im counting it) 3. haruhi 4. apocalypse hotel 5. city the animation apocalypse hotel and city were my fave shows of that year. really hard to choose between them, as apocalypse had better individual episodes but city was more consistently great.

Now getting into the vocaloid shoegaze, I listened to a lot of it on my Japan trip. I floated around the train station Hon-Astugi in Kanagawa for a month like burnt out loner with no ambition to do touristy stuff, and no ability to communicate with the locals. I'd sleep until 2pm, and get a few hours of sunshine whether than was through restaurant windows; taking the train to literal nowhere (e.g. Isehara station) and walk out in a random direction; or walking around Ebina's large mall plazas. The "suburbs/sprawl" is so beautiful and pure there, it's incredible.
