how long do you think you will live for?
>>
>>4882 at least until i can play persona 6. i refuse to die before then
>>
probabli til 50 i don't want to be a 70 year old fart that just rots in a one bedroom apartment and takes up space in public transit
>>
>>4901 So you want to die early for the sake of other people ?
>>
>>4882 With what direction the world might take, I don't know. Like WW3 or whatever (just an example, I don't particularly believe that it is going to happen soon or anything). But assuming that the world will somehow be stable... maybe to the lower end of the average lifespan. I don't lead a particularly healthy lifestyle but I don't do super destructive things like alcohol or drugs. Although it's a bit of a scary thing to think about, it's not impossible that I might eventually kill myself when I reach 40 or 50 years or whatever, if I lead a lonely life.

What's your worst nightmare?
>>
when all of my friends decide to not be my friend anymore
>>
>>4916 Don't give them a reason to not be your friend then
>>
>>4914 Waking up the next morning.
>>
>>4914 As in literal nightmare, I don't know. My first nightmare that I remember was when I was 3 years old. It was about rising lava. There was also a (funny) nightmare I had when I was 8, where I came to school, and it was empty, and then there was an anthropomorphic cow behind me who was going to eat me. In the past few years I have had various nightmares involving a specific group of "people", but I don't want to break rule 9. Nightmare in a more general sense... it would probably be hell, as in eternal torture (eg. after death). I was raised in a religious household and that disgusting story still hasn't left my mind. If talking about more realistic things, there are too many bad things that could happen, and I can't keep track of them, and I prefer to not think too much about them. But something that I feared a lot during Covid was being forced to take the "vaccine", most likely indirectly (eg. a law being passed about not being allowed to go to any public spaces unvaccinated).
>>
I remember one nightmare, I was about 10 years old when I experienced it I was browsing through a photo album with my aunt, most of pictures were normal except one which depicted a decapitated body of my cousin. Afterwards I looked at my aunt and asked her whats up with this picture, only to find out she stabbed me when I wasn't looking and I died a few seconds after the discovery. After my death in this dream I went into spectator mode like in Counter Strike 1.6, I saw my aunt eating my insides and my parents going into the room only to burst out laughing. My parents joined my aunt shortly after. Dear parents of Hikari3, giving unrestricted internet access to your child is NOT a good idea

>>4926 there is tales of maj'eyal which is similar and has linux releases. they might not work on your distro but you can fix that by compiling from source (the only "uncommon" dependency is premake iirc). cdda binary releases work on pretty much any distro elona... I have a hard drive with windows exclusively for elona. I know it is not a good solution but I didn't want to install wine for a single program
>>
>>4929 I have ToME on Steam. I played it for some time back in the day, but it's far too convoluted and didn't appeal too much to me I also played C:DDA before, and it was fun, even though I'm not the biggest fan of zombie apocalypse games Now I'm just waiting for the full release of Caves of Qud I also wanted to develop a roguelike myself, but I don't have any good ideas
>>
>>4932 >I don't have any good ideas I will take this as an invitation to throw stupid ideas at you. there aren't many cyberpunk-themed roguelikes, I guess because proc. generating (modern) urban environments is much harder than generating dungeons, villages, forests, etc. I imagine the ascii interface would allow for a more sober atmosphere than what is commonly understood as cyberpunk now (sci-fi but with cartoonish 80/90s artifacts)

>>4953 I would never become vegan, but I might consider becoming vegetarian one day. I don't think the vegan diet is very healthy, as I believe that we humans do need to consume some animal-derived products, even if it's just eggs and milk, well, most of my daily protein already comes from eggs anyway, but that's because meat has been quite expensive around here for some years now Also, I hate these vegan products that try to emulate meat or animal products, I've tried a few times and I never liked them, I also don't trust the industrial process that these things go through.
>>
>>4968 >as I believe that we humans do need to consume some animal-derived products, even if it's just eggs and milk Humans are flexible eaters and can survive on vegetables if no other option is available. The problem is that animal products today are filled with extreme amounts of toxic shit that can make you ill. Why do people make fun of vegan food for being "lab-grown" and then proceed to eat tons of shrink-wrapped poisonous garbage?
>>
>>4967 >>slowly starving yourself to death >Yay! Live example of how cults like veganism tend to attract mentally ill or nihilistic people.
>>
I ate a box of papa johns pepperoni pizza earlier
>>
>>4976 No, we are not flexible eaters. You need the fats, you need the vitamin A, B12, B2 and B6 for basic brain function and none of those are retrievable from the vegan diet. >oh but fats are actually They come bundled with seed oils and other bad bad stuff in vegetables. >>4977 said all there really was to say.

I am seeing people where there are none, animals where there are none, things that don't exist. I am having a lot of visual illusions recently, and they sometimes are a bit scary. Like cats jumping out of impossible places, or people hidden behind a wall watching me. Have you ever seen these too? I wonder if I have to get new glasses.
>>
It could be nice if i could never see anyone or anything

>>4842 Cut your hair and it will all suddenly go back to normal. I cannot say for certain if the reason behind these habbenings and the link to their resolution is of physical nature, the hair obscuring parts of your field of view, or of a more ancient, divine nature but none the less you should cut your hair.
