I've only played the FF games on the SNES After that I don't really find a lot of them interesting, although I'm not that much of an RPG guy. Because it needs a lot of commitment, and usually I prefer smaller games.

Please, begin. It's a nightmare to setup, write everytjing down, but please begin. FFXI is unlike anyother MMO I've played. Its scope, immersion, depth, and god it feels like a time capsule to the 2000s, instant comfy nostalgia. I've been playing on and off since 2020, it's worth trying! And, also look into private servers for a more cozy experience.
