the open beta for Under Night In-Birth II: [Sys:Celes] is in a few hours! i haven't really been following the pre-release for this, so a lot of the changes are gonna be totally new to me... the full game releases next febuary!

>>453 i played the beta for a few hours! so far it just kind of feels like more Under Night In-Birth, which is about as much as i wanted from a sequel lol my favorite characters are still fun to use my only gripe so far is the soundtrack, for some reason the composer opted to remix all of the older songs instead of using new compositions, so the quality of each remix varies wildly, with some remixes having new parts added that feel out of place (some songs seemingly just have a random guitar thrown in for no real reason, i always liked the soundtrack because it usually had more synth/electronic elements whimanded to the whole "nighttime" feeling of the game, so adding random guitar solos into older songs kind of ruins it). even with the remixes i like, in most cases, i would rather just listen to the old versions. i like the opening. https://youtu.be/vIw8aRAB36Y?si=fVkE_QK1lOZr34WH

>>358 that Another Code game had a demo shadowdropped, and i probably wouldn't have found out about it had i not checked 4chan's /v/ the other day... the story seems...mildly interesting, though the gameplay can range from "kind of interesting" to "kind of boring"; it's still a mystery/puzzle game, but it has a lot of those "movie game" quirks that seem to be becoming more commonplace (slow movement speed, slow over-the-shoulder camera). some of the puzzles in the demo were really cool, there was one puzzle where you had to physically rotate the controller to shake an object out of a net. honestly, playing this on the switch makes me more curious about how this played on the DS originally, i've heard the DS version had some insane puzzles where you had to close the system and then open it back up. i think the game is really visually pretty, the character models in particular are really nice and very well animated and expressive. i want to kiss ashley all over her face.
