Hikarins! Are any of you into the trades? Are any of you building anything? How many tools do you have? Favorite brand? Which one are you in?
Here're my tools:

>Handsaw, handscrews & swiss army knife

The closest related thing I did was take a wood shop class in middle school and accidentally broke some of the tools there resulting in the teacher yelling at me and failing the class.
I put up a curtain rod a few weeks ago. I like my chinese power drill.

I once soldered new pickups into my guitar and ended up dizzy and had a slight headache after rawdogging the fumes for a couple hours. Think I might need to change out the pots soon too since they're scratchy
>>11854 No, you don't have to. I wanted to try some new pickups and thought it'd be fun to do it myself. I'm pretty sure the reason why my pots are acting funny is because the connections I did were pretty doodoo but I figure I may as well swap them out while I'm diddling around in there.
I spent my teenage years working with my dad running around on roofs, though I was mostly doing brainless lifting and not much tool work. But it was a lot of fun. Right now I'm just slowly working on fixing up and maintaining my car and getting tools for that as I need them, which is also a lot of fun.

you should learn how to do basic maintenance like change oil, replace air filter, replace tires, maybe change brake pads, etc.

>>11901 yes, the basic idea is: >put car on jack >unscrew cap under car and drain oil into pan >close cap >replace oil just be sure you are putting the right kind of oil as well as using the recommended amount (don't want to overfill it). most of the time you can just look it up. the air filter usually is just something you simply pull out and slide a new one in. that can also be looked up and easily done.
