Gathering strength for work. Who else drinks before manual labor? In my personal opinion it makes the work go easier.

Drinking before work sounds rough. Might be helpful for a few hours but once it starts to wear off aren't you tired and sluggish? Especially if it's hot out, oh man...

Then hed just stumble back to the factory floor (it was a different time) and sleep on the ground until it was time to clock back in. To answer your question, it was pretty fucking hot. And it's way better to drink WHILE youre working.
