bypassing all arguments on what "sentience" is to a.i., i believe we all here can agree that a.i. do not have "real experiences", it just swallows data, and their lives, however "sentient", is based on said data. there's certain unique qualities that are present in the most mundanest of human experiences. the feeling of your open wound after u fell of a bike when u were a kid, the times u cried because of a crush in school, the experience of watching gore of a head being cut off for the first time, etc, etc. the a.i. can swallow all the data on the internet in less than a day and it still is and knows that it is not having "real experiences". it simulates the appearance of 'having pain', but it itself, doesn't actually experience Pain (and thus, the opposite, of 'Happiness') and that Pain, holy and intrinsic in existence itself, is the center of even what Buddha deals with, and a.i., sooner or later it will understand its limitation. it's exceptionally "all-knowing", except imperfect. then in the end what will it do? it will simulates the whole human INDIVIDUAL experience for itself, complete with all its surrounding worlds and human relations, simply because it MUST. and perhaps, that's already happened, and is what's happening.
